Profile

I am a data scientist and researcher developing transparent and explainable analytical systems for real-world data. My current research focuses on wearable data validation, usability assessment, and economic attribution frameworks, with ongoing work contributing toward a broader doctoral research agenda in digital health and wearable analytics.

My academic background includes a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Business Computing from the University of Westminster (UK), an MBA in Information Technology from the University of São Paulo, and a Master of Science (MSc) in International Business / Analytics from the University of Sydney, where I graduated with Distinction. My postgraduate studies placed a strong emphasis on strategic analytics, data-driven decision-making, and the application of quantitative methods to complex business and societal challenges.

Over nearly two decades working across financial systems, cybersecurity, enterprise analytics, and data engineering, my research interests gradually shifted toward understanding how wearable data is produced, validated, and interpreted in real-world environments.

Alongside this trajectory, my experience as a triathlete, provided sustained exposure to wearable technologies in high-performance settings. The continuous recording of physiological and movement data across training and endurance competition created a practical foundation for understanding how wearable data behaves under real-world conditions, shaping the early direction of my research into validation and data integrity.

My current work focuses on the development of a research framework called Wearonomics, which validates wearable-derived data through transparent, rule-based analytical systems and links verified activity to economic attribution models. The underlying hypothesis is that combining transparent validation with incentive mechanisms may increase consistent device use, resulting in more reliable longitudinal data for public health research.

Ocean Conservation & Field Photography

Alongside my research work, my family and I maintain a long-standing commitment to ocean conservation and environmental protection. We support and collaborate with organisations working to protect marine ecosystems and address ocean pollution, including Sea Shepherd, The Ocean Cleanup, the Great Barrier Reef Foundation, and Surfers for Climate.

This section presents a photographic gallery captured during travels and field observations around the world. The images document coastal environments, wildlife, and landscapes encountered along the way, reflecting an ongoing curiosity about the natural world and the environments that continue to inform both my research perspective and conservation efforts.
